WEIGHT LOSS with Hypnotherapy

It is proven that 95% of diets don't actually work! You may loose weight initially on a diet, but will put the weight back on in a short space of time. Why? Because diets are just short term fixes, not lifestyle changes, and they don't address the actual reasons for eating which is why people fall back in the same patterns very easily and become discouraged, feeling dissapointed and unhappy with themselves.

Hypnotherapy will work with the person as a whole; focusing on the mind as well as the body. Starting by addressing self-image and how we look at ourselves, feel about ourselves and turn negativity around to become more accepting and positive in how we relate to ourselves. Finding the causes for over eating, snacking, etc. changing patterns of behaviour, working on motivation to make the changes and feel good. We don't want to feel like we are punishing our bodies, or our minds!

Negative self-image can be rooted in past experiences or internalized beliefs about who we are. By looking at what influences us, what drives us to eat, can be an important part of making lifestyle changes and breaking an eating habit.

Positive self-image will have huge benefits to our general mental well being. This will decrease stress hormones, increase confidence and self-esteem. It is known that stress and weight gain are linked, so to tackle weight problems we must also tackle our stress and anxiety. By learning in hypnosis how to turn down stress levels and maintaining inner calm, we can begin to focus on the positive result we want to achieve.

Hypnotherapy is also about programming the mind and feelings, thoughts that influence our actions, to visualise how you will look and feel at your ideal weight. What you focus your mind on you give the power to- so we want to replace the "I'm fat and unattractive" thoughts and images with "I'm slim and attractive and feel amazing!". Focus on what you want, not what you don't want!
